The piers were renovated to be what is now Chelsea Piers Sports Complex—and the changes have been massive. The amenities of the Sport Complex are spread out among all five ports. The Vertical Gardens exhibit is a massive display of orchids and other exotic plants, covering the room from floor to ceiling. Grab a car rental and head to the New York Botanical Garden for a mesmerizing display of gardening, which ventures into artwork.

Tubing down the Delaware can take anywhere between two to three hours, depending on the river’s current, and includes a lunch break.
